1. Introduced New Feature - Outstation Travel Request Approval
Although there is probably still minimal business travelling happening during this pandemic, when the situation gets better in the future, the admins may want to apply for this new approval feature in our latest release. TimeTec has recently added an approval function for outstation travel requests, mainly to track and keep staff travel records for any administrative, health or safety reasons.

Like Overtime, Edit Attendance and Out of Area Clocking approvals, this new function also needs to be pre-set. Admins can first set the rules within the system by going to User > Manage Approval Rules > Add Outstation Setting. Add the approval rules for travel requests by completing the settings required by the system (Set Users, Process, Validity Period and define approvers).

Admin can add and manage approval rules for outstation travel requests (Set Users, Process, Validity Period and define approvers).

Admins can apply the request for themselves or other users.

Admin can view and verify the travel details of the user and take action (approve or reject) on the requests.

2. Admin Roster Overview - Added Outstation Request Details
Following the introduction of the Outstation Travel Approval as mentioned above, TimeTec has also updated the Admin’s Roster Overview to display this information. On the roster, Admin can click on the suitcase icon to view the outstation travel details.

Admin can click on the address to view in the Google Maps.
3. Report Updates
Next up, there are recent updates to the reports listed below:

a. Labour Forecast Report - Added a Subtotal Row for Each User
b. Electronic Time Card (6-columns) - Display Multiple Leave Type and Optimization
4. Smart DBS Terminal – Added Display of Application Type & Optimized Download Terminal Data Service
The next update is for companies using terminals with the TimeTec TA solution. At the Device > Manage Terminal page, TimeTec has added a new column for ‘Application Type’ under the Smart DBS Terminal section. This section is to manage Smart DBS compatible terminals such as Smart Ac1/TD, ProFace X/TD or Face ID 5/TD.

Besides that, the Smart DBS download terminal data service has been optimized to reduce unnecessary processes (perform download only if the number of records in TA does not tally with the number of records in Smart DBS).

5. New Setting in Clocking Schedule – ‘Ignore Early Out’
For the Admins using Daily or Weekly schedules in the duty roster, you’re probably aware that work time and any tardiness are usually assessed based on the clocking times you have preset for each clocking schedule. However, occasionally there may be days when an employee has matters to attend to and requested to clock out earlier. They may also be allowed to offset this rule by starting work or clocking in earlier for that day.

Hence, if you require the system to not mark the early clock out as tardiness, as long as the employee has worked sufficient hours, you can now apply the new option ‘Ignore Early Out’ added to the Daily and Weekly schedule settings.

6. Export Attendance to Payroll - HR2000 Payroll Enhancement
‘Export Attendance to Payroll’ (Attendance > Export Attendance to Payroll) feature provides payroll options where users can export attendance data into an output file matching the payroll requirements directly. This month, TimeTec has updated the HR2000 Payroll export option, as shown below:

1. Approval
NEW FEATURE: Outstation Request is now available for the staff to submit requests and for the Admin to approve. With this new feature, both Admin and users will be able to view outstation staff information such as outstation date, location, and etc, with ease.
